Man 'struggled' with teenager
Mohammed Khan
Mohammed Khan had severe learning difficulties
A teenager whose body was found on a landfill site may have been seen struggling with a man shortly after he went missing.

The body of Mohammed Khan, 18, from Beckton, east London, was found on 15 January at a waste disposal site in Hertford, Hertfordshire.

A post mortem examination found that he died of multiple injuries, including a broken back.

Police on Thursday released an e-fit of a man seen in a confrontation with a teenager matching Mr Khan's description.

E-fit
The man is described as having a 'beer belly'
Scotland Yard said it was not clear how the injuries to Mr Khan were caused although they were consistent with severe crushing before death.

At this stage the death is being treated as suspicious.

Mr Khan, who had severe learning difficulties, had gone missing from his home at about 1300 GMT on 2 January.

About 90 minutes later, a young man fitting his description was seen with a man by a red van only a few streets away from his home.

'Builders' boots

They were struggling as the man was pulling the teenager towards his van.

The man is described as about 50 years old, about 5ft 10ins tall with a heavy build.

His jeans were tucked into tan calf-length boots described as the type worn by builders.

Police say the site where the body was found, is mostly used by waste disposal firms from west and north London and Hertfordshire.
