Pedestrian killed in lorry crash
Police say the lorry hit the back of a Corsa
A 56-year-old woman has died and two other people have been injured after a lorry collided with four parked cars in the Black Country.
The accident happened in Trouse Lane, Wednesbury, on Thursday morning. West Midlands Police say the 17-ton lorry was travelling towards Wednesbury when it was in a crash with a Vauxhall Corsa near the junction of Wellcroft Street. The Corsa was shunted into a number of other cars. The woman who died was standing between the Corsa and another car. A second pedestrian, aged 33, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury and a third woman sustained a head injury and bruising. The 23-year-old lorry driver and the 29 year-old driver of the Corsa have been treated for shock. |
