Youth in court over gunpoint rape
A 16-year-old has appeared in a youth court accused of raping a woman at gunpoint on a Coventry street.
The alleged incident happened in Queen Victoria Road in the city at about 2215 GMT on 16 January. The youth, who is from Coventry, is charged with rape, robbery and two counts of attempted robbery. His alleged victim is 20-years-old. The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody until Thursday.
