Police say imitation guns can be converted

Police have made a series of arrests and seized drugs and guns in raids across Swindon.

Officers made 10 arrests on Wednesday as part of Operation Defy, set up in the Borough to combat class A drug dealers.

Most of the arrests were for class B possession, mainly cannabis and amphetamines, but they did include arrests for possession of heroin, say police.

Officers also found a starter pistol with ammunition and two imitation firearms at one of the raided properties.

Two illegal immigrants and a man wanted on warrant were also discovered.
