Police hunt armed robbers
Petrol pump
The men were wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons
Two female cashiers have been tied up during an attempted armed robbery at a Warwickshire petrol station.

Two men wearing balaclavas followed staff into the Total garage on Newtown Road in Bedworth, just before 0600 GMT on Wednesday.

The men were armed with a baseball bat and what is thought to have been a gun.

They bound the cashiers' hands with tape, but fled empty-handed when the women told them the keys to the safe were not on the premises.

It is believed the men may have been using a red Vauxhall Cavalier seen in the area on Monday and on Wednesday.

Both the women, who managed to free themselves and raise the alarm, were badly shaken but unhurt.
