Dentist cleared of fondling patients
Dental equipment
Miss A had claimed the dentist groped her
A dentist accused of fondling two female patients has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Evidence from two women who gave evidence against Mehran Ezatpour, 35, was said to "beggar belief".

Mr Ezatpour was accused of serious professional misconduct before the General Dental Council in London.

But a committee found him not guilty after a two-day hearing.

'Unreliable' evidence

The council had been told by Miss A that the dentist put his hand down her bra during an appointment in Greater Manchester in March 1999.

Evidence from Mrs B accused him of resting his arm on her breast while working in September 2000.

Mr Ezatpour had denied both allegations.

Nicola Davies QC, for Mr Ezatpour, said Miss A's evidence "beggared belief" and was unreliable.

She added that Mrs B's allegations were "incredulous".

Mr Ezatpour now works at a practice in Stockport.
