Jet alert after engine fails
Manchester Airport
The plane was forced to land at Manchester Airport
A passenger jet with nearly 100 passengers on board was forced to make an emergency landing in Manchester.

The Glasgow-bound jet had to battle through high winds on Tuesday night to land at the city's airport.

It is understood the British Airways flight from Heathrow was forced to turn off one of its engines before landing.

The plane landed safely at the airport after technical problems with the engine.

Passengers were later taken by bus to Glasgow.
