Attacker followed schoolgirl home
E-fit
Detectives believe the man may strike again
Detectives are searching for a man who followed a schoolgirl into her home and indecently assaulted her at knifepoint.

An e-fit of the man who subjected an 11-year-old girl to an "horrific ordeal" in Peckham, south east London, is to be published by police.

The girl walked through the front door of her home in Dog Kennel Hill when she was followed in by a man.

Police have only just revealed details of the attack which took place at 1630 GMT on 20 December.

Intruder startled

He forced her into a bedroom and held a knife to her face before indecently assaulting her.

It is thought he was startled by something and told the girl to count to ten before running out through the front door.

Detective Sergeant Neil Waring said he hoped the e-fit would bring forward more witnesses before the man could strike again.

He added: "This was an horrific ordeal for the 11-year-old victim.

"This man only left his victim's home because he was startled by something. My concern is what he would have done had he not been interrupted."
