Cars destroyed in 'lethal' attack
Cars parked in Brighton's London Road were damaged
Vandals who have been dropping large concrete blocks from a multi-storey car park roof in Brighton have been warned to stop before they kill someone.
In the latest incident on Friday several cars were damaged - but police said it could have been far worse. Officers from Sussex Police said if anyone had been in any of the vehicles hit by the concrete, they would have died. Several cars were written off or suffered thousands of pounds damage on Friday when they were hit by eight-inch cubed concrete blocks dropped 40 feet from the roof of the London Road car park. Fatal consequences Mechanics said the roof of one car dropped eight inches under the impact of the block and it looked "like a bomb had hit it". Inspector Steve Grace, of Sussex Police, said: "Fortunately this time it was just vehicles that got damaged. "That's serious on its own, but had a person been walking along the pavement or a person sitting in their vehicle, the consequences could have been fatal."
