Woman robbed at graveside
Damaged gravestone at South Bristol Crematorium
The cemetery has been targeted by vandals in the past
A woman was attacked and robbed as she knelt beside a grave in a Bristol cemetery.

The woman was visiting a grave at the South Bristol Crematorium on Monday when a man approached her from behind.

He pushed the 42-year-old in the back, causing her to fall forwards, and stole her handbag.

The attacker then ran off towards the main entrance in Bridgwater Road, Bedminster, and across the A38.

Witnesses heard a car sounding its horn at the man as he ran in front of it.

The man was white, around 30-years-old, 5ft 8in tall and of medium build with short straight black hair. He was wearing a green checked lumberjack shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crimestoppers.
