Thirteen in court after dawn raids
Police raid homes in Operation Barron
Homes across Oldham were targeted by police
Thirteen people have appeared in court after a series of dawn raids in Greater Manchester.

Police raided 14 homes and arrested 24 people in an operation aimed at tackling burglary.

More than 100 officers took part in Operation Barron on Tuesday morning at addresses across Oldham.

A total of 24 people were arrested at homes in Glodwick, Clarksfield, Holts, Hathershaw, Fitton Hill, Derker and Littlemoor.

Eleven people appeared before Oldham magistrates on Wednesday charged with supplying class A drugs including heroin, crack cocaine and ecstasy while two were only charged with supplying heroin.

Of the others arrested, six were charged with drugs, weapons or warrant offences while five were bailed pending further inquiries relating to fraud and drug offences.

Greater Manchester Police said it had a list of 200 people who would be arrested over the next few weeks.
