Armed robber threatens shop staff
Police car
Police are investigating the incident
Police in Devon are investigating an armed robbery on a shop in Plymouth.

Staff at the Spar shop in the city's Union Street were threatened by a man with a weapon on Monday night.

He made off with about £200 from the till.

The man was described as in his early twenties and wearing a red jacket, dark baggy trousers and white trainers.

The incident is the latest in a number of armed robberies in the city in recent weeks.

On Saturday two men raided the Spar on Mutley Plain, threatening staff with what is believed to be a gun and a knife.

They got away with up to £300 in cash.
