Stolen car in hit-and-run crash
Police cars
Police are appealing for witnesses to the hit-and-run
A man is recovering in hospital after he was knocked down by a stolen car, causing serious injuries.

The 25-year-old man was hit by a white Fiat Bravo which failed to stop following the crash in the Lawrence Hill area of Bristol on Friday afternoon.

The pedestrian was left with serious head, chest and leg injuries in the collision in Church Road, at the junction with Croydon Street, at around 1655 GMT on Friday.

The car - which was later found to have been stolen - drove off towards the Lawrence Hill roundabout and was abandoned in the middle of the road.

A man and a woman were seen running away from the vehicle.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the police.
