Speed campaign a success, say police
Speed sign
There was only one collision during the campaign
A police campaign to reduce the number of speeding drivers on one of Herefordshire and Worcestershire's busiest roads has been described as a success.

Throughout December, officers used both marked cars and undercover surveillance to monitor the A4103, which links Hereford and Worcester.

The action was taken as a result of repeated complaints from people living along the route about drivers speeding and crossing double white lines.

West Mercia Police recorded only one collision on the road during December, compared to seven the month before.

People living by the A4103 said the high profile police presence along the route should now be maintained, or the problems with speeding drivers would be likely to return.
