Investigations into body find
police at scene
Police believe the death is not suspicious
Police in Sheffield will be carrying out further searches of the area where a woman's body was found on Monday.

The woman, believed to be in her mid 20s, was discovered fully clothed and face down in shallow water at the junction of Harvest Lane and Pitsmoor Road at 1520 GMT.

The area was cordoned off while forensic scientists and a home office pathologist carried out an examination.

A post-mortem examination has been conducted, but the cause of death is not yet known.

Detectives are now awaiting the results of toxicology reports and are trying to identify the woman so her relatives can be informed.

Police think she is a resident of Sheffield and are not treating the death is suspicious.
