Man charged over double rape

Police sealed off an area near the river Wyre
A man is facing two charges of rape after two teenage girls were allegedly attacked in Lancashire.

An area closed to the River Wyre was sealed off by police in Garstang on Monday evening.

Inquiries began after two girls, aged 15 and 16, alleged they were raped on Sunday.

Lancashire Police said a man had been charged with two counts of rape.

He is due to appear before Wyre magistrates on Wednesday.
