Arrest after double rape claims
Police sealed off an area close to Garstang town centre
Police have made an arrest after two teenage girls alleged they were raped by the same man.
An area closed to the River Wyre was sealed off by police in Garstang on Monday evening. Their inquiries began after two girls, aged 15 and 16, alleged they were raped on Sunday. Police investigations have centred on the river close to the Safeway supermarket in the town centre. The alleged victims were at Lancashire police's new purpose-built centre for victims of sexual assaults at the Royal Preston Hospital in Preston. A man is to be questioned in connection with the allegations, police have confirmed.
