Fellini museum planned
Federico Fellini
The museum will contain Fellini memorabilia
A museum dedicated to legendary film-maker Federico Fellini is to be built in his home city of Rimini, on Italy's Adriatic coast.

The five-room museum will display Fellini memorabilia including the director's personal library, story-boards, sketches and photographs.

Posters, objects from his films and some of Fellini's personal belongings will also feature in the museum, according to the Federico Fellini Foundation.

"The masonry work in the building is finished and we hope to inaugurate before the end of 2003," said the foundation's Catia Donini.

The final plans will be presented at a ceremony at the Fulgor cinema in Rimini on Monday, where Fellini first worked.

Born on 20 January 1920, Fellini was awarded with his fifth Oscar a few months before his death, on 31 October 1993.
