Drinkers clock up rewards
Free pints are given to the most devoted customers
A Buckinghamshire pub has set up its own loyalty scheme - by installing a factory clocking-in machine.
Regulars at the White Hart in Bletchley, near Milton Keynes, have been given cards to punch in each time they drop in. Publicans Ray Gradwell and Kath Boland say they got the machine as a joke - but are now offering free pints to their most devoted customers. Ms Boland said: "Everybody clocks in when they arrive - but quite a few forget to clock off." The new scheme has not been without its problems. Ms Boland said: "We had a couple of wives who weren't very happy when they found out how long their husbands had been here and they got a bit of grief. "So we changed it a bit - we know what the real time is though."
