Fresh appeal over rape of teenager
Crimewatch
The attack was reconstructed on BBC's Crimewatch
Detectives are hoping to uncover new leads in the hunt for a rapist who attacked a young woman in Lancashire.

The man is thought to have followed the victim, before attacking her in her own home Great Harwood, a year ago.

The case was featured, with a reconstruction, on BBC's Crimewatch programme.

The 18-year-old was raped after answering a knock at the door, within minutes of returning from work.

'Cannot sleep'

Detective Inspector Neil Hunter, of Lancashire Police, is urging anyone who has suspicions about anybody who was in the area last year, to come forward.

The teenager, who cannot be named, has spoken out about the attack.

She said soon afterwards: "I live like a little child - I cannot sleep on my own, I cannot go upstairs on my own, if I get up in the night to go to the toilet I have to wake somebody up to come with me.

"I cannot go anywhere, and I cannot ever imagine life being like it used to be."

Before pushing her into the house, the rapist had asked the woman if she needed any double-glazing.

Police say a man was seen acting suspiciously at the front of her house, and there had been several reports of a "peeping tom" in the area.
