Man charged over knife attack
A passer-by found the alleged victim on the road
A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged knife attack on a woman.
Leon Barry Coombes, 40, faces magistrates on Friday accused of stabbing the 25-year-old woman. The woman is recovering at Southampton General Hospital, where her condition is described as stable. She was discovered by a passer-by in Grange Road, in the Netley suburb of the city. Mr Coombes is charged with a number of other offences in connection to the alleged incident.
