Instruments found after BBC appeal
The instruments were found dumped in Chinatown
A group of touring Ukrainian musicians are back on the road - 24 hours after thieves stole their instruments from a van parked in Liverpool's Chinatown.
The nine-strong Vasely Hatychyna group had been touring local schools with their music when the instruments were stolen on Saturday. Shortly after an appeal on BBC Radio Merseyside, many of the instruments were found dumped in Chinatown. Translator Sue Chacewicz said the band was overwhelmed at the response of the public on Merseyside. She added: "They are absolutely amazed at about the level of support they have received from friends, neighbours and strangers. "The offer of instruments is also amazing. People have offered to lend them instruments which is very encouraging and has given them the confidence to carry on."
