Pensioners robbed in homes
Two pensioners have been assaulted and robbed in separate attacks in Belfast.

A 93-year-old man is recovering after he was hit about the head and face during a robbery at his home.

The attack took place in the New Lodge area of north Belfast on Saturday night.

In a separate incident, an 81-year-old woman was robbed at her home on the Cregagh Road in east Belfast.

The pensioner was put into a back hallway, which was then blocked.

The police said she was extremely distressed.
