Three pupils were arrested by police
Nineteen police officers were called out to break up a planned gang fight between 100 rival school pupils

Three youngsters were arrested on suspicion of public order offences after the brawl was stopped in Reading, Berkshire.

The youngsters had met up at a nearby park for the fight.

But officers arrived at the scene in two vans and several marked cars before any trouble could begin.

Arrests made

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed that they had been called to intervene.

He said: "In total there were about 100 pupils involved.

"We arrived at the scene before any trouble broke out and three people have been arrested for public disorder offences.

"There were 19 police officers at the scene who managed to disperse the children."

The three arrested youths have been released on police bail.
