Body in river identified
Glynn Bower
Mr Bower went missing last November
The decomposed body of a man found in a South Yorkshire river has been identified.

Police say it is that of Glynn Bower, 20, who has been missing from home in Rotherham since November.

A member of the public discovered the body in the water at Denaby Main on Friday about 200 yards from the newly-built bridge.

Officers believe the body had been in the river for some time, and are not treating the death as suspicious.

South Yorkshire Police said a post-mortem examination had been carried out on Saturday, but the cause of death had not yet been confirmed.

Mr Bower had last been seen in Rotherham town centre near the Turf Tavern at 2300 GMT on 21 November.

He had promised to attend his grandmother's 65th birthday the following day, but did not turn up.
