Robber who broke woman's wrist hunted
Police graphic
Police in Bristol are hunting a teenage robber who stole a woman's handbag and broke her wrist.

The youngster's victim, a 63-year-old woman from the Hartcliffe area of the city, was attacked as she made her way home from bingo.

She was walking along Hengrove Road towards the underpass at 1515 GMT on Wednesday when the offender came up behind her.

The robber pushed her to the ground and took her handbag before running off through the underpass.

Hospital treatment

The woman got up and shouted after her attacker before returning home to call an ambulance.

She was later treated at Bristol Royal Infirmary for a broken wrist and police recovered the stolen items.

The offender is described as around 5ft 4 inches tall, 13 to 19 years old and wearing a black anorak with a hood.

Anyone who saw the attack, or who recognises the description, is asked to contact the police or Crimestoppers.
