There was a rare sight in London on Wednesday as it disappeared under a blanket of snow.
Big Ben almost disappeared in the white-out across London
The Albert Memorial glistened in the snow
Winston Churchill's statue, left, while a businessman trudges to work
Italian tourists braved the cold to visit Westminster
Road conditions were difficult while Sherlock Holmes's statue received a light dusting
There was even enough snow to build a snowman in front of the Millennium Wheel
The banks of the Thames at Westminster
