Police officer's misconduct charges
Entrance to Liverpool Magistrates' Court
PC Sedgwick will appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court
A police officer on Merseyside is to appear before magistrates on more than 30 different charges.

PC Anthony Sedgwick was charged with 14 counts of misconduct in public office and 14 charges under the Data Protection Act on Wednesday.

Mr Sedgwick also faces five charges of perverting the course of justice.

The charges follow an investigation by the Professional Standards Unit of Merseyside Police, which began after the officer was arrested in February last year.

Mr Sedgwick, 35, of Ayreshire Road, Anfield, is due to appear before Liverpool City Magistrates on Friday.

He has been suspended from duty since his arrest.
