Police investigate car link to shooting
Police believe a car like this was linked to the shooting
Detectives investigating the murder of a 32-year-old man in Sheffield have released details of a car that may be linked to the shooting.
Lester Divers was shot outside his house on Freedom Road, Walkley, at 1900 GMT on New Year's Day. A white Ford Escort Fresco was found shortly after, burnt out close to the Bell View pub on White House Lane. Police know the car, with the registration number J345 LCM, belonged to someone in Wigan until 3 November, when it was sold to someone in Manchester. They want to speak to anyone who knows where it was between then and New Years Day. It is thought the car may have been parked or stored in Sheffield. The limited edition Escort had alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, sunroof and colour co-ordinated bumpers.
