Gloucestershire police have appealed for witnesses
A man has died after his car left the road and crashed into a tree in the Cotswolds.

Gerald Aubrey-Harris, 32, was driving a burgundy Ford Mondeo estate car towards Andoversford, Gloucestershire, when the crash happened.

The vehicle left the A40 at Tunnel Hill near Cheltenham just after 2200 GMT on Tuesday and hit a tree.

Mr Aubrey-Harris, from Bougton-on-the-Water, sustained multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The A40 near Cheltenham was closed for almost seven hours overnight while crash investigators examined the scene.

Police are trying to discover the cause of the crash.
