Injured baby dies
Buxton, Derbyshire
The man is being held at a police station in Buxton
A three month old baby girl seriously injured in an incident in North Derbyshire has died in hospital.

Police are continuing to question a 30-year-old man.

Officers were called to a house in Buxton on Monday night and a say a local man was arrested.

The baby meanwhile was initially taken to the Stepping Hill hospital near Stockport then later tranferred by air ambulance to Greater Manchester's Pendlebury Hospital.

But she died there late on Tuesday night.

Police say the man arrested is still being questioned by detectives in Buxton.

A post mortem examination was due to being carried out on the girl overnight.

Its thought she suffered multiple injuries.
