Asylum seeker murder denied
Hostel where killing took place
Ally Abdillahi was living at a hostel in Luton
A 36-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to murdering of a Tanzanian asylum seeker who was living in Bedfordshire.

Neal Bond is charged with murdering Ally Abdillahi, 31, on 6 October 2002 at a house in Grange Avenue, Luton, where they were both living.

Mr Adbillahi had come to the UK in 1994 seeking asylum.

The house where he died is used by Luton Council to provide emergency accommodation for homeless people.

Mr Bond appeared at Luton Crown Court on Tuesday.

Judge Ronald Moss said it was hoped his trial could take place in May.

Mr Bond was remanded in custody and no application was made for bail.
