Car on track causes rail delays
Train tracks
The car has now been removed from the tracks
A 76-year-old man has been taken to hospital after his car ended up on a railway line.

The accident happened at 0940 GMT, when the driver left the bypass near Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire and ended up on the track.

He was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital with minor injuries.

The incident led to the closure for about one hour of all four tracks on the West Coast Main Line.

They have now been reopened, but passengers on Silverlink and Virgin West Coast trains still face delays.

No trains were involved in the incident, the cause of which is not yet known.

British Transport Police officers are investigating, but say it is being treated as an accident.
