Two charged with murder of pensioner
Metropolitan Police officer
The pair will appear in court in London on Friday
Two people have been charged with the murder of a 92-year-old woman found beaten to death near her luxury flat in west London.

Ahmed Alhaddad, 22, and Nimpha Ong, 48, have been charged with murdering Bridie Skeehan.

The victim's body was found near her home in Seymour Street, in Paddington, on Monday - four days after she went missing.

The pair, also of Seymour Street, are due to appear before Horseferry Road Magistrates' Court on Friday, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

Ms Skeehan had been reported missing by a neighbour on 2 January.

A post-mortem examination on Tuesday found she had rib fractures, injuries to her face, head and neck, a ruptured liver and a broken larynx.

Neighbours have described the victim as "a lovely and charming lady" who owned a three-bedroom flat and used to rent out rooms.
