E-fit issued of carjacker
Carjacker
The e-fit issued on Tuesday
An e-fit picture has been issued of one of the men Essex Police want to question after a carjacking.

The manager of the Indian restaurant where chef was the victim of the incident has said his staff are determined to carry on their business.

Anwar Khan, 26, was delivering food from the Baburchi restaurant in West Hanningfield early on Sunday when two men jumped into his car.

They drove him around the Essex countryside, dumped him, then came back and bundled him back into the car.

Manager Rupa Miah told BBC Essex: "We are shocked as much as anyone else would be."

Racial abuse

Mr Khan had stopped his car in Wickford after delivering a meal to South Hanningfield when the two men jumped in.

They drove him around for 30 minutes, taunting him with racial abuse, before dumping him.

As Mr Khan tried to find help, the attackers returned and forced him back into the car.

They drove around for another hour before letting him out in a field.

Mr Miah said: "Round here it's very, very unbelievable that something like this could happen."

A police spokesman described Mr Khan's ordeal as a "nightmare journey".

But Mr Miah said the attack would not deter his staff.

"We will have to be a bit more cautious," he said.

Police have described the two attackers as white. One was aged about 28, about 5ft 8" and heavily built.

The other was in his early 20s, about 5ft 11" , slightly built and wore a red and white checked shirt. They both smelt of alcohol.
