Man charged with picket line affray
Bus strikers
Bus drivers picketing at the Norwich depot
A man has been charged with affray following an argument on the picket line at Norwich bus station.

Marvin Rothman, 39, of Braintree in Essex, was arrested after an incident between striking bus drivers and relief drivers at 1815 GMT on Monday.

He was charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon, and is due to appear before magistrates in Norwich on 22 January.

The week-long strike by First Eastern Counties drivers is now in its third day, and fewer than one in six services is running.

Park and Ride services and the number 25 route from the University of East Anglia to the railway station are operating under a revised timetable.

The dispute centres on the length of time drivers must spend behind the wheel, and payment for lunch breaks.
