Sex charges against teacher dropped
Lancashire Police HQ
Lancashire Police will not be pursuing the case
Police have dropped the case against a 37-year-old teacher from Greater Manchester charged with sexual offences.

Alan Dawson, of Astley Bridge, Bolton, was accused of sexually assaulting a girl.

He was arrested and charged in Blackburn in October 2002.

A spokeswoman for Lancashire police said that, following careful consideration, all charges in the case had now been withdrawn.

But Mr Dawson remains suspended from Pleckgate school while an internal inquiry takes place.
