Moors body is Sheffield girl
Police exclusion zone
The body found on moorland has been identified
A body found on moorland near Sheffield has been identified as missing woman, Caroline Pinder.

A Home Office pathologist carried out tests on a jawbone and other remains which had been found on the ground at Totley near a firing range.

They were found by a man walking his dog on New Year's Day.

Caroline, who was 26 and also known as Carly, was identified by dental records and her personal belongings.

She disappeared from her Nether Edge home in Sheffield in November, 2001.

Detective Chief Inspector Dick Goulding, of South Yorkshire Police, who is leading the investigation said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

A widespread and search and the involvement of the National Missing Persons Helpline failed to provide any clues to her movements.
