Body found in barn identified

Police have just identified the body of a man found in a barn more than a week ago.

The body, which was found in Litlington, Cambridgeshire, nine days ago, has been identified as 68-year-old James Edward Weaver from Walsall, West Midlands, said Cambridgeshire Police.

A post-mortem examination into why he died proved inconclusive and toxicological tests are being carried out.

On Monday, Coroners' officers appealed for help to trace any of Mr Weaver's relatives or friends who may know why he died.

'Surviving relatives'

Coroners' officer Gordon Wallace said: "He was born in Walsall area of the West Midlands, but there may be people in Cambridgeshire who knew him.

"We simply do not know if Mr Weaver has any surviving relatives either here or else where."

Relatives or friends of Mr Weaver should contact Mr Wallace at Cambridgeshire Coroners' Office on 01223 717587.
