University library opens for business
Leeds University
Businesses can use the resources at the library
An initiative will enable businesses in Yorkshire to benefit from resources at the University of Leeds library.

Companies which join the service can get access to referencing and borrowing facilities.

They also get to use a wide range of electronic journals and databses and can have 15 minutes to ask specialist library staff for information.

The scheme will also provide specialist staff to carry out research for companies short on time, or unable to send someone to the library in person.

Items of particular interest to business and industry include specialist journals, worldwide company and industry news, and financial reports.

The initiative's business development manager Rosemary Campbell-Blair said: "The university already acts as an important support for business and industry locally, nationally and internationally through research, consultancy and education.

"The library is now adding another element to this, by opening up its rich information resources to the business community."

The service is supported by the Higher Education Innovation Fund and the costs will be flexible, based on the size of the company.
