M4 reopened after 'incident'
Traffic queues on the M4
The westbound M4 was closed for over an hour
A section of the westbound M4 has reopened after an incident forced the road to close.

Police shut down part of the motorway between the Membury services and junction 15 in Wiltshire after a woman fell onto the carriageway.

A police spokesman said: "At 1118 GMT officers responded to reports of a woman having fallen from the bridge over the motorway.

"Fortunately the woman was not struck by any vehicles and she has been taken to hospital by ambulance."

The woman, who has not been named, sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

The road was closed at around 1120 GMT and reopened just over an hour later.
