NHS worker charged with child porn

A total of 26 people have been arrested in Wiltshire
A member of staff at a Wiltshire NHS Trust has been charged under the Child Protection Act.

The man, an employee of Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust, has been suspended by the trust.

He is the third person to be charged with child pornography-related offences in the county under Operation Ore, the national investigation into paedophile activity on the internet.

The charges relate entirely to the man's personal life, the trust has said.

Operation Hussar

A spokesperson for the trust told BBC News Online: "He had no contact with patients whatsoever and he is not a manager."

Police have issued 27 arrest warrants in Wiltshire under Operation Hussar, the local investigation of Operation Ore, and have arrested 26 people.

The three men who have been charged will appear before magistrates in early January.

The remaining 23 have been granted police bail pending further investigations.
