Man shot during mugging
Bristol Royal Infirmary
The man underwent surgery at Bristol Royal Infirmary
A man was shot in the leg during a robbery in Bristol.

The 27-year-old is recovering in hospital after the attack on Saturday night in the St Pauls area.

He was shot at around 2100 GMT after leaving the Criterion pub in Badminton Road.

Four men, all wearing hoods, stole the man's mobile phone and money before shooting him in the left leg with what police believe was a handgun.

The wound is not thought to be life-threatening.

The four attackers, believed to be black, fled towards St Agnes park after the attack.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
