Man arrested following double death
Police forensic teams
Police officers have been searching the area
A 36-year-old man has been arrested following the deaths of two women in Wakefield.

Two injured women were discovered in a house in Park Lodge Lane, East Moor, Wakefield shortly after 0430 GMT on Monday morning.

West Yorkshire Police and ambulance crews responded to reports of a "disturbance" at the house.

Both women were taken to Pinderfields General Hospital, but later died from their injuries.

Investigations continuing

One woman is aged between 25 and 26 and the other is older, but their exact ages are not yet known.

A police spokeswoman said post mortem examinations will be carried out on Monday to establish the cause of their deaths.

"A 36-year-old man is in custody in connection with this incident and enquiries are ongoing," she added.
