Police seek knife-wielding robber
Police in Northampton are searching for a man who robbed a newsagent's shop armed with a knife.

The man walked into a shop in Winsor Crescent in Duston and threatened the female shopkeeper with the weapon.

When she tried to raise the alarm he punched her in the face, and then left with a quantity of cash.

He is described as black, with light-coloured skin, and in his early 20s. He was wearing a black waterproof-style zippered jacket.

Police appeal for witnesses

Northamptonshire police have renewed appeals for witnesses who may have seen a fatal accident near the village of Long Buckby.

Sarah Squire, 15, was killed on 7 December.

She was a back seat passenger in a dark-coloured Renault that was in a collision with two vans.

Police seek a number of drivers who may have arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and then drove away.
