Police send cards to criminals
Christmas cards
The festive greetings are a warning to criminals
Convicted criminals in Merseyside are to be sent Christmas cards from the police to stop them re-offending.

The greeting features the force helicopter, CCTV vans, and motorcycle patrols.

The cards bear the message: "Thinking of committing crime this Christmas? Remember... Merseyside Police are watching out for you."

The cards will be sent to ex-offenders with convictions for robbery, or theft, especially bag-snatches and pick-pocketing.

It is the second year that the Merseyside Police has sent the festive warnings.

The initiative is part of the Streetsafe, which aims to reduce street crime.
