Pensioner killed at level crossing
Central Trains
There were 20 passengers on board the train
An investigation is underway after an 83-year-old man was killed by a train at a level crossing in Lincolnshire.

The man died of multiple injuries after the accident at Quadring near Spading.

A Central Trains service to Peterborough which left Lincoln at 0840 GMT on Saturday was involved in the accident.

None of the 20 passengers on the train were injured, but the driver was treated for shock at the scene.

British Transport Police are looking into why the man was on the tracks.

His family have been informed but he has not been named by police.
