Six charged with terrorist offences

The six have been detained since Wednesday

Six people who were arrested on Wednesday have been charged with offences under the Terrorism Act, by the Metropolitan Police.

The four men and two women are charged with being a member of a terrorist organisation.

The four men are Songul Ozgur, 26, 29-year-old Rory O'Driscoll, Allaatin Kalander, 38, all from Stoke Newington, north London, and Gurkan Gur, 39, from Hyde, Cheshire.

The two women, both from London, are Selver Kapan , 30, from Islington and Birten Kalayci, also 30, from Finsbury Park.

All six are due to appear at Bow Street Magistrates Court on Monday.
