Man charged with child neglect
Police force graphic
A north Wales man has appeared in court charged with the neglect of a child after a two-year-old baby girl received serious head injuries in an incident on Friday.

Mark Griffiths from Pandy near Wrexham was brought in by police for questioning on Saturday.

He was detained in custody to appear before Wrexham magistrates court on Monday morning.

The arrest followed an incident on Friday afternoon when a two-year-old baby girl was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital suffering from serious head injuries.

Magistrates adjourned the case for five weeks.

The 26-year-old was released on bail with the condition that he does not contact the child's mother.
