Missing boy found safe and well
Norfolk police had been concerned for Archie's welfare
A 10-year-old boy has been found safe and well 24 hours after running away from his Norfolk home.
A police search was sparked after Archie McCue, from Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, vanished from his home on Friday evening. He had escaped through his bedroom window by undoing a screw fitted by his father to prevent him disappearing. It was the third time Archie had vanished in a week. Archie's father, also called Archie, said his son had left the same way on Wednesday. Serial escapee He also disappeared from school on Monday - but on both occasions he was found within a few hours. A spokesman for Norfolk Police said Archie had been found safe and well in Gorleston. "Police are not treating Archie's disappearance as suspicious at this time," he said. Before Archie was found, Mr McCue said he believed he knew why his son had disappeared. He said: "The teacher at his school told us there was a little girl at his school who has just come out of foster care. "She has been telling him if you throw tantrums you will get anything you want - like a bike."
